Dermatological examination at Poliklinika Kranjčec

Dermatological examination

The specialist examines the skin of the whole body in detail — visual inspection, evaluation of lesions, dermoscopic assessment and counselling. The dermatologist considers the need for additional diagnostics such as a biopsy or laboratory tests.

Mole dermoscopy

Non-invasive melanoma detection.

Dermoscopy is a specialised instrument with magnification and polarised light. A painless procedure that increases the accuracy of distinguishing benign from malignant lesions — especially important for early melanoma detection. It helps avoid unnecessary surgery on benign lesions.

Who it is recommended for:

  • More than 50 moles
  • Visible changes (ABCDE rule)
  • Family history of melanoma
  • Fair skin prone to sunburn
  • Regular UV exposure
  • New or suspicious changes

An annual examination is recommended, and more frequently for those at high risk.

Dermatology bookings are currently not possible

We are not currently taking dermatological appointments. But we still address skin lesions and moles — with a plastic surgeon and histopathological analysis, or with a laser:
