The procedure is performed under anaesthesia, so you feel no pain during it. Because the laser works through a thin probe, without conventional surgical incisions, discomfort afterwards is considerably less than with conventional surgery, and most patients do not need strong painkillers.
How long is recovery after a laser procedure?

How do I prepare for a proctology examination?

Who is a candidate for laser treatment of a pilonidal sinus?
Laser treatment is suitable for most patients with a pilonidal sinus, including those with a recurrent problem. The final assessment of suitability is made by the surgeon after a clinical examination.
